Thank you for visiting SeeMore Wildlife Systems' McNeil Bearweb page. The bears have headed to
mountains for the winter and are no longer fishing at the river. As a result, the viewing
season for this year is now over. Please feel free to take a look through some of the still
images that were captured this season.
Each summer, Alaska’s McNeil Falls is the site of the world’s largest gathering of brown bears with up to 40 or more at a time. Normally solitary, brown bears are drawn here by the tens of thousands of salmon that spawn in McNeil River.
